The “Punch” Behind the Heat
Here’s the thing about PET blowing: you need shortwave infrared radiation to actually get through the preform wall. If the heat doesn’t penetrate, the bottle doesn’t blow right. Our lamps are built to hit the exact voltage and wattage your oven expects. We focus on that “thermal punch” needed to hit the glass transition temperature fast, which keeps your cycle times tight. But we’re careful. If you cram too much power into a tube that’s too short, you get hotspots. We balance the length and the power so the heat spreads evenly. Built to Survive the Grind
Production environments are brutal. That’s why we use heavy-wall quartz glass. It can take the thermal shock of rapid cycling without cracking. We use R7s or Sk15 connectors because they actually fit. More importantly, they create a rock-solid electrical connection. A loose connector is a disaster waiting to happen—it arcs, burns out the socket, and shuts you down. Plus, we use a halogen cycle. This stops the tungsten filament from evaporating and coating the inside of the glass. You won’t see that annoying “blackening” effect, meaning the light stays clear and the heat stays strong for thousands of hours.
